Initiée en 2013 par la compositrice Sophie Lacaze et la pianiste Nathalie Négro, l’association Plurielles 34 mène différentes actions afin de promouvoir la musique des compositrices. L’objectif est de proposer des outils qui favorisent l’accès à leurs œuvres en informant et communiquant auprès des institutions ouvertes à la découverte de ce répertoire ; d’aider à la programmation en collaborant avec les festivals, ensembles, orchestres, réseaux, médias ; d’innover dans la transmission auprès des conservatoires, Pôles Sup, instances musicologiques, concours de composition ; d’être présentes et expertes auprès des structures de décision institutionnelles pour soutenir le développement des résidences, des commandes, des créations et susciter ainsi une plus grande visibilité des compositrices.
Founded in 2013 by composer Sophie Lacaze and pianist Nathalie Négro, the association Plurielles 34 initiates diverse actions to promote the music of women composers. The objectives of the association are multifaceted, in particular to offer tools that promote access to the works of women composers by communicating with institutions eager to learn more about this repertoire and to support its programming through collaborations with festivals, ensembles, orchestras, networks and media. In addition, Plurielles 34 seeks to renew communication with conservatories of all levels, as well as with musicological federations and the organizers of composition competitions. The members of Plurielles 34 strive to be present and share their expertise with decision-making institutions, thus encouraging the development of residencies, commissions and the premiere performances that will ensure greater visibility for women composers.
